It is a known fact that every work created by Catalan architect, Antoni Gaudí, is fascinating. People love to visit Sagrada Familia, Park Guell, Casa Mila (La Pedrera) and Casa Battló. Recently, since 2011, another Gaudí building was opened to the public newly restored. This building is the Palau Güell.
Palau Güell is a mansion made by Gaudí for the industrialist Eusebi Güell. If you enjoy Gaudí's work, then we recommend you visit this location. Many materials were used in building this palace, materials such as iron, ceramics, glass, stone and wood, which are typical in Gaudí's work.
Inside the palace, there is a central space on the main room that was prepared to entertain high society guests. In the basement, you will see a stable in which animals were kept. Upstairs, in the big living room, there is an amazing display of the detailed edge of lights, motifs on the walls and the tile patterns on the sinks. All of which are Gaudí's style.
On the rooftop, you will see variegated chimneys, each of them with a unique style.
During your visit, every thirty minutes you will hear a song played on Palau Guell's organ. So you can easily feel in a palace of that era.
