Barcelona City Guide The best things to see and do in Barcelona

Little Italy

Inspired by the area in New York, by the same name. This restaurant mixes a jazz theme taken from the big apple and combines it with a Mediterranean menu with some traditional dishes from Italy. The menu contains, soups, salads, pastas, risottos and a set of delicious main courses of meats and vegetables.

The emergence of Little Italy in 1988 revolutionized the Barcelona restaurant scene. At the time it was not only a pleasant gastronomic, but over two decades it has been a landmark in El Born. A large chunk of its success is owed to its innovative spirit, which has allowed the restaurant to adapt to the times and changing trends whenever necessary. The new management at Little Italy has gone back to the Mediterranean cuisine with an Italian emphasis, for which the restaurant has always been identified.

It boasts a wonderful selection of wines, does set menus so you can have a party there and to add to there is also live music on wednesdays and thursdays between 9.15pm and 11.45pm. They play a mix of jazz, soul, blues and swing among other things. Starters, soups, salads, apastas and risottos all range between 7 and 12 euros and main courses go up to about 15 euros, so it is not an expensive night out. You can also drink a cocktail for a reasonable price of €7,50
