About Poble nou

Due to its central axis, Poble Nou attracts a lot tourist, most of them come to visit Rambla Del Poblenou, formerly known as Paseo del Triunfo, which runs through the historic center, from the sea to the mountain. Poblenou is an area of Barcelona, located in the district of Sant Martí, northwest of the city.

It has one of Barcelona's largest and most beloved flea markets. A large range of items are sold, second hand and new. If you are close to Poblenou, you should visit this market. For casual browsers, we recommend you avoid going on Saturday, because it is the busiest day. If you are looking for real bargains, we advise you to arrive early. Antique auctions take place at 07:00 a.m., when all the commercial buyers are there, and then again at 12:00 p.m. when all the unsold goods drop in price.

For purchasing famous brands, we recommend Diagonal Mar. Not only for its size, but also for the huge amount of visitors it receives each year. Fashion, home, electronics, accessories and more can be found in Diagonal Mar. Another great mall worth visiting with many big brands is Les Glorias.

Next to Les Glorias, there is the Agbar Tower, we recommend you to visit it by night, because then it is lighted with around 40 different colours. At the moment, this tower is used as an office building. Consisting of 4500 windows, it has 32 floors and a height of 142 meters, which makes it the highest building of Barcelona. Unfortunately, it is not possible to go to the top of the tower, however, you can visit the lobby where you can find an exhibition.

Another attraction around Poble Nou is the Beach Nova Icària, which is commonly known as a beach where lots of families gather together to enjoy the lovely weather. The beach is very close to Port Olympic and well connected with the public transportation. Close to this, there is also the Casino de l’Aliança, which attracts many locals and tourists.
