Plaza Real is one of the most lively places in the city of Barcelona. Within this large square, you can find restaurants, night clubs, Flamenco shows, and more. Its location among Las Ramblas also means you don’t have to venture far for anything else you may need, whether it be a supermarket or one of the many boutique shops buried among the streets. It is a highly desirable place to be when visiting Barcelona.

The apartment itself is a spacious 4 bedroom flat able to hold up to 10 people. With that being said, there is a minimum age requirement of 30 years in order to book this accommodation, and loud parties are not acceptable. However, with everything so close by, why stay in the flat all night?

1 room has a double bed, 1 room has a bunk bed, there are 2 rooms each with a single bed, and should additional sleeping accommodations be necessary, there is a sofa in the living room. Also in the living room is a large television with a DVD player, and free wireless Internet, and a balcony that looks out.

A fully equipped kitchen, air conditioning and heating, and 2 bathrooms (one full), are all part of the flat. There are linens and towels, and cutlery, so there is no need to worry about providing your own. There is no doubt you will feel comfortable and enjoy your stay in this wonderful flat.

Seth-Elliot5/5 The apartment is clean and is exactly as it appears in the pictures. The location is ideal for anyone looking to visit Barcelona. The hosts are spectacular and were extremely helpful when ever we had any issues or questions. I would highly recommend staying here! Joakim4/5 Lägenheten ligger ett stenkast ifrån Plaza Real och Ramblan, i en av Barcelonas alla trånga gränder (man måste i princip gå igenom en av uterestaurangerna för att hitta vägen in), vilket är ett fantastiskt bra läge med gångavstånd till det mesta av centrala stan. Lägenheten är i bra skick, med alla bekvämligheter man behöver. Det är dock bara ett fåtal fönster som alla vetter mot gränden, så lamporna behöver i princip vara tända även på dagen. För oss var det inget större bekymmer då vi ändå bara behövde lägenheten för att sova i, vilket vi gjorde bra i sköna sängar. Då det är englasfönster och rätt livat på gatan var det dock rätt mycket ljud som läckte in särskilt i de två sovrummen mot gatan till. Jag kan rekommendera lägenheten, och absolut tänka mig att bo där igen. Kanske är det dock ingen lägenhet för dig som vill ha lugn och ro, utan snarare för dig som tar del av stadspulsen. Rieta4.2/5 Apartment is spacious, very clean and well equipped.Bedding is neat and like the towels all very :) Kitchen is equipped with a kettle and tea and instant coffee is all ready. Location is superb, 15 meters vd real plaza which is located on the Ramblas again. About Apartime also praise, Marisa questions answered within 24 hours and the appointment / info for key collection was neatly trimmed. Biggest plus: central location, clean and neat. Bedrooms on the street side (1with 2-bed and 1 with bunk beds) are super noisy. In the other bedrooms (both 2 1-person beds) you can sleep like a baby. Unfortunately, or again in an alley and the lanes of the vagrants and junkies. So little wary and evening prefer not sitting on your own in the street. As for us, four female colleagues girlfriends, concerns equally a must! Biggest drawback: two bedrooms are very noisy, rose is a urinal for many wanderers. Which is or again 2x daily washed by the municipality. Joelle4/5 he value for money is very good. The apartment was clean and neat, it was quite comfortable, too. It is located on a pedestrian street, 2 minutes from las Ramblas and 5 minutes from metro station Liceu, 15 minutes to Plaza Catalunya. Only the kitchen, the living room and the master bedroom have windows. There were public parking places, located nearby but since it was the very center, the price per day was really expensive, so travelling with a car might not be the best option. And while we make this remarks,they are more of an information instead of a drawback. We really recommend the property and enjoyed our stay! The rest of the rooms are interior, which makes the apartment a little dark. Chris4.4/5 From the moment we arrived to the city, we received helpful advice and guidance from the staff and we agreed to meet at Plaza real in order to get the keys. To our surprise it was only 20 seconds walk from the front door!! Our very first impression of the apartment was the nice high standard decoration and basic amenities (we had iron, hair drier, etc) We were even provided with towels even though this wasn't mentioned in the description. The street is very lively so there could be people walking till 1 or even 2am in the weekends, but then it dies a bit. So it was nice to come occasionally back home, have some snack and then leave again, instead of bringing all things at once or eating somewhere outside. If your goal is to be in the heart of the city, then this is your apartment. About the bedrooms, there is nearly no natural light in some of the rooms as they are interiors but it's Gothic quarter after all with all this tiny alleys and tall buildings, so it is to be expected. Some people complain about smell on the street but this is pretty much all Barcelona. What we liked was that there were special street cleaner who were washing the streets through all the night to clear away everything. We found this really nice. Ann4.2/5 We had six very nice days in Barcelona and enjoyed this El Gotic apartment. I can say this apartment is a good value for its location and size. I specifically appreciated the communications and service given by HSB Apartments. They were extremely professional and responsive. Specific pros and cons about the apartment. -The responsiveness of the management before, during and after our stay. We were met to check in on time, they spent quality time with us going through the apartment as well as getting us acquainted with the neighborhood. We had to minor items that required attention when we checked in which was corrected by their maintenance person within an hour of our request, which was on a Saturday. -The location too many great for sites like Las Ramblas, Plaza Real and other areas in Barcelona -The size of the apartment. There were four of us and with the number of beds you could have had 9 or even 10 people -The air conditioning work very well. A big plus -Great water pressure and hot water -The apartment was clean and bright. The beds were all comfortable -Very fast and consistent wifi -Elevator -The apartment in on the first floor and right above the public street/walkway below. It can be extremely loud day and night, especially in the bedroom with the large bed. Given its proximity to the Plaza Real it seems to get a lot of people coming by….and at all hours. On the Saturday it was constant yelling, singing and partying until at least 4am. Most other nights weren’t as loud but still very noticeable. Also, it appears the building across the street is used as storage for the restaurants on the Plaza, because you could hear the metal rolling doors being open and shut for a good part of the night. The only rooms affected by this are the main bedroom and the living room. The other bedrooms have no windows so aren’t affected. If you are staying in these rooms I would strongly recommend bringing earplugs and a white noise application, which will help but not overcome the issue. -Because of the amount of pedestrian traffic, and particularly what appear to be partiers, the street/walkway in front of the building seems to be used by many to relive themselves. Though there is a street cleaner that goes through every night or so there was a constant and quite pronounced smell of urine when you left the building. Overall the positives I mentioned did outweigh the negatives. It is a good value for the money and we had an overall positive experience. Thierry4.6/5 The apartment is very central, situated just 1 minute walk from Plaza real, where is full of restaurants, bars and one of the best hip hop bar Jamboree. It is also few minutes by walk to the bottom part of La Rambla and the port. The flat looks exactly as shown on the photos. The person who was representing the agency and gave us the keys was very nice and friendly and spoke fluent English. I could stay there again There is only 1 window in the living room and one window in the one of the bedrooms so we didn't get much of natural light. However that is not really a big issue if you stay just for few nights and you only need to shower and sleep. Thierry4/5 This apartment is very well located: 1 minutes from Plaza Real where you can find restaurants and the best hip hop bar in central Barcelona (Jamboree) and a few minutes from the bottom of La Rambla. The flat looks exactly like the pictures so no surprise (except that there is no iPod dock). There is only 1 window in the living room and 1 window in the double bed bedroom so you won't get much natural light and will need to have the lights on at all time. The person who represents the agency and handed over the keys was nice and helpful and speak perfect English. I would stay there again. It's on the 1st floor of a building in a small alleyway which smells bad most of the time as this is where people drop their bins and pee. Florian4.4/5 Bel appartement, à 2 pas de la Plaça Real qui permet de rayonner sur toute la ville. Situé au 1er étage (avec ascenseur sur 1/2 étage), pas de problème d'accès donc, à moins d'être en fauteuil roulant (il faut gravir quelques marches pour arriver à l'ascenseur). L'appartement est fonctionnel avec ses 4 chambres réparties autour de 2 pièces à vivre et sympa petite cuisine. A part la chambre avec lit double, les autres sont très petites et la porte frotte sur le lit, les portes de l'armoire s'ouvrent aussi dans le lit (pas très pratique). L'appartement est très sombre (peu de fenêtres et immeuble en face à une longeur de bras du balcon) et surtout très mal éclairé : les propriétaires ont choisi de mettre des ampoules (spots plafonniers) basse consommation qui mettent longtemps à chauffer. Résultat : il faut prévoir d'aller allumer la salle de bain ou les toilettes 5 minutes avant de les utiliser... Meme quand on rentre dans cet appartement sombre après avoir profité du soleil il faut du temps pour s'adapter à la pénombre (même avec les rideaux ouverts). Pas de dock iPod comme promis (dommage, un peu de musique aurait été sympa) mais wifi très utile et aucun problème de fonctionnement. Un gros point négatif est le bruit extérieur qui semble rentrer dans l'appartement. Cet appartement reste cependant recommandé et j'y ai apprécié mon séjour. En plus comme la rue est passante et sert d'urinoir public, les nuits de fêtes se passent aussi pendant votre sommeil. Heureusement que j'avais été prévoyant en lisant les autres commentaires : j'ai dormi avec des boules quies et comme un bébé (donc n'oubliez pas les votres). Sinon 2 toilettes (un dans la SDB, l'autre (minuscule) avec genoux dans la porte et tête dans le lavabo. Patrice3.6/5 Great location - very close to Plaza Real and Las Ramblas. There is a convenience shop on the corner. The area felt safe. The apartment is big enough to comfortably sleep 6, and could sleep up to 8. There was mostly no issue with noise, although on one night there were some people shouting in the street outside at 3 or 4 am!! Our host was very friendly, and gave us some good recommendations on places to eat nearby. The apartment was very difficult to find. Directions from the owner sent us as far as Plaza Real, and from there we were advised to ask for directions. It took almost an hour to find it, even though it is only a minute's walk from the square. If you are booking here, get definite directions. On the day we arrived, it was pouring rain. We had phoned ahead from the airport, as requested, and were asked to phone again when we arrived in the city. Despite doing this, we still had to wait 45 minutes to get into the apartment, and were told this was due to there being a lot of check-ins that day. The apartment is spacious, but very dark, with very few windows and almost no natural light. If you are looking for an apartment to hang out in during the day, or to have some 'chill out' time, this is not necessarily the one for you. Ann4.4/5 We spent six very nice days in Barcelona and really loved the apartment and I think is a good value for its location and size. We especially liked the communications and services provided by Apartime, they were really professional and responded promptly to all our messages. Pros and cons about the apartment: Positives: -the staff was very responsible, well organized, the check in went very smoothly. They spent quality time with us explaining us important information and interesting details about the neighbourhood -The location is excellent, central next to Plaza real and la Rambla and to metro station -the AC worked pretty well -the apartment have space for 8 even 9 people -the apartment was clean, and beds were very comfortable -Very good and consistent WiFi connection. Overall the positive points overweight the negative ones so I would like to say that we did have a good time and really nice experience. Negatives: -It can be a bit loud during the evenings, as it is located on the first floor and there are always people passing on the street Weekends can be specifically busy but the rest of the days were quite OK.The only rooms that are affected by this noise is the big bedroom and the living room.The other rooms are pretty fine, as they have no windows. The apartment is big enough to accommodate 6 people, I would say even 8, according to the bedding. There was mostly no issue with noise. The person who checked us in was very friendly and gave us a few recommendations on places to visit. What we didn't like was that it was a bit difficult to find, since there are many tiny streets and alleys so it is easy to get confused. Therefore, make sure you check carefully the address in advance. Also, the apartment is spacious but a bit dark, so per times we had to keep the electricity light on during the day.
