Where do you go out in Barcelona?
Perşembe, 22 Ekim 2009 16:30
It is always good to visit new places regardless of where you end up staying, and therefore it is useful to find out about the best places for nightlife according to which district you are in.
In the Gothic Area:
There are several restaurants in Gothic and you can go onto various clubs. There is The Town Hall with with Techo & House music which the younger people, from 18 to 25, love. Here, every Friday and Saturday you will find techno and house music, wheras Sundays are the zen nights, with electro and break beat more than kareoke. The dance floor of this club is enormous. The entry fee is 12 euros per person. For those who prefer Funk and Hip Hop< music, there is the Jamboree which has two dance floors, one for hip hop and rap and the other for funk and jazz. It also has weekly concerts of all kinds. The entry fee at 9 euros. If your thing is Alternative Rock, the New Yorkis your place, filled with mainly local people, and most of these between 18 and 25. This is a disco where you can learn about the idiosyncrasies of Barcelona nights. Prices are €6 before 02:00 am and €9 thereafter.
In Barceloneta:
The Danzatoria Club-House, a very elegant place with sofas, bars and dance floors. There is also a lovely terrace to go and catch your breath in the fresh air of you are tiered from dancing. The entry here is 15 euros.
The Baja Beach Club is a restaurant and club at the same time. The restaurant functions until 11:00 pm and then everyone dances. The music is varied and it is free admission for those who were having dinner there. The entry fee for those who do not eat is 15 euros.
In Eixample:
Sala Cibeles, plays electronic music along with other styles, including pop, funk, electro-pop, eurobeat and madchester. The entry here is 10 euros.
In La Fira, there is pop and rock music, there is no entry fee but instead you are obliged to buy drinks. While in La Boite soul, disco, funk and hip hop music are played. There are often concerts on and the atmosphere is very easy going. The entrance fee is 12 euros. The differences are between each area marked, so if you have a smaller budget, I would recommend going to the Eixample district, where there are big offers of all price ranges, while for those who want to look and be looked at, I would concentrate on the Barceloneta area.
