A Rooftop in the old city apartment

USERRATING 8/10 2012-05-20 by client The location was very central. It not in the most secure part of the city. The terrace was fabulous and made our stay really enjoyable. Would have been nice to have some basic extras for cooking such as oil and condiments and a larger coffee pot. The bed is low so not the best for people with restricted flexibility. In and Around Barcelona

Las Ramblas in Barcelona is one of the busiest tourist destinations throughout the year and the Las Ramblas is ranked as the fourth most rated tourist attraction in the world. Having said this, I want to offer 10 great areas of the Las Ramblas that has entertained million of visitors.

1. THE BOQUERIA
La Boqueria, Barcelona's traditional market is where you find fresh products, flavors and colors of Spain, plus it is the perfect place to take a photograph.

2. PALAU GÜELL
The luxurious Güell family home that was built in 1886 and declared World Heritage Site in 1986.

3. THEATRE THE LICEU
First opened its doors 1847 and since then it has remained the opera house of Barcelona.

4. WAX MUSEUM
Beautiful building which houses a collection of wax figures of art and history. A rival to that of the London Wax Museum.

5. MOSAIC TILES
The circular mosaic tiles, one of the works of the great Miró and is located near to the "Teatre del Liceu".

6. LIVING STATUES
Countless “still” artists waiting until they receive a small monetary contribution before they move to the beat of Barcelona. Varying statues from dragons to flamenco dancers.

7. ARTISTS
Most of the paintings are based on Barcelona, Spain, flamenco, bullfighting and various corners of the city. Also, there are many cartoonists and artists who paint modern themes

8. PET STORES
Listen to the tweeting sounds of birds, watch animals such as rabbits or turtles play and enjoy many photographic opportunities with exciting colours.

9. FLOWER SHOPS
Buy different flowers of various sizes, shapes and colors. Want to grow your own, or a special floral arrangement then you can find this here too.

10. Bars Plaza Real
Considerably more expensive than average places, but the food and attention that you receive is first class.

Obviously Barcelona has many interesting places visit, but the above is my recommendation for things to do and see along the Ramblas.
