The MACBA museum of Barcelona will show the works of John Baldessari

The American artist, John Baldessari  (California 1931), will show his retropersepctive works in the Barcelona contemporary art museum (MACBA), an exposition that includes more that 130 works, made between 1962 and 2009 and under the title of "John Baldessari: Pura Belleza".
The exposition will commence at the 11 of February and will end the 25th of April, after it was presented in London at the Tate Modern. From Barcelona it will move on to Los Angeles  and from there to the Metropolitan art museum in New York.
The exposition will be structured in a chronological order and will start with his works from the 60`s.
In the first hall there will be some words that survived the fire of the "Cremation Project", thanks to a neglection of the artist that forgot to take them with him and left them in his sister`s garage.

The works continue until recent periods, such as the !Furroed Eyebrows and raised foreheads" (2009), in which the artist combines pictures of faces and buddies covered with paint as a form of exploration of the human body through the fragmentation.
