This restaurant was first opened under the name "Café de las 7 Portes" in 1836, more than 170 years ago. Since then it has changed owners several times, but retains its classic quality and high class cuisine. Specialising in Catalan cuisine, the restaurant is open every day of the year. Also the name changed a few times, but the 7 was still in it.

On the site you can read the restaurant has a great history. Something very small can become very big. The founder, Joseph, made from his home a luxurious cafe. Later on is became more popular and they changed to a restaurant. The number 7 stands for the 7 doors the cafe had where the public could enter the cafe.

The restaurant offers a wide variety of food. You can eat rice, pasta, meat, fish and salads. They also have a very extensive wine cart.

With impeccable service, it is popular amongst locals and tourists alike. Classical and intimate atmosphere, with an impressive art collection displayed on it s walls. Come with a group and take advantage of one of their private rooms. Located near Port vell.
