A Rooftop in the old city apartment

USERRATING 8/10 2012-05-20 by client The location was very central. It not in the most secure part of the city. The terrace was fabulous and made our stay really enjoyable. Would have been nice to have some basic extras for cooking such as oil and condiments and a larger coffee pot. The bed is low so not the best for people with restricted flexibility. Restaurants in Barcelona

Moncho's Marina is one of the most well known fish restaurants in Barcelona and a restaurant that we normally highly recommend to our clients. It is famous for its outstanding service, dellicious food and very generous portions. Is is situated right next to the beach in what is caleld Marina Village (Villa Olimpica) and is a very popular place to go for a meal.

Famous for its paella, something you have to have whenever you come to Spain. The restaurant boasts Shellfish and fish from the Cantabric Sea, fused with all sorts of herbs from provence and traditional rices. It also offers great meats and Spanish classics all fresh from the market. The view is great and if you sit on othe terrace you have a view of the beach and sea.

These generous portions are no exaggeration; you start with an all-you-can-eat buffet of fresh seafood and salads. Then teh waiters arrive with your dish, which they continually refil until you tell them to stop. You do however pay for your portions as the average meal there costs around 40 eurs per head.

The kitchen is open most of the day from 12pm to 1am so you can go for lunch or supper depending on what suits. Plus if you fancy going out after you are perfectly located for some of Barcelona's most prestigious nightlife, Opium, Shoko and Catwalk. There are also other restaurants aound Barcelona set up by the same Moncho, so if you would rather eat in Gracia, then check out their restaurant up there for a different ambience.

If you need to make a reservation you can do it online for weekdays, however for weekends or bank holidays you need to call or go in to book a table.

The nearest metro stop is Vila Olimpica
