The L’Olive has been established in 1984 and has quickly become one of Barcelona’s landmarks for Catalan cuisine. It has a wonderful cosy yet modern ambience and offers excellent food at adequate prices. The menu is known for it’s exquisite ingredients, traditional flavour combinations with a modern touch and its high quality. Also, the menu impresses through its variety and amount of different dishes to choose from. Furthermore, it is worth mentioning that the L’Olive has its own menu for homemade desserts that is highly recommendable. On it one can find homemade pastry, ice cream, cakes, etc. that are all delicious and a worth the calories.

The waiters are very friendly and attentive and the service is excellent. However, you can get easily confused by the menu as there are so many dishes to choose from and it is not always straight forward to say whether one dish is a starter, side or main. But of course you can ask the staff to guide you in your decision and they are more than happy to do so.
Overall, the L’Olive well deserves its reputation for excellent food and everybody that places value on fantastic and delicate food in a modern and comfortable atmosphere should definitely pay this restaurant a visit.
