La Tinaja is a traditional restaurant located in the old city in El Born. The menu ranges from typical Catalan cuisine to tapas. Highly recommended are the cheese and sausage plates, both are made up of typical dishes of the region. Along with "pa amb tomaquet" (tomato bread) you can speak of a good and typical Catalan supper. The prices are totally reasonable and a dinner mentioned above costs for 4 persons less than 50 €.
This restaurant has a very good wine card with a huge selection of wines from Catalonia. The price-quality ratio of the wines is very good and the stuff can assist you in finding the right wine.
The interior of the restaurant looks like a traditional Iberian wine cellar because of wine racks everywhere. Together with old vaults and the rustic decor La Tinaja is a cozy place for an unforgettable dinner. The discreet Spanish music contribute to a relaxed atmosphere and a perfect evening in a restaurant in Barcelona.
Tip: Often there are concerts with flamenco guitarist.
