Besides Paella and Fish dishes, Tapas are very famous in Barcelona, even if it does not come from Catalonia. Tapas are more a tradition of the south of Spain such as Andalusia.
Nevertheless, you can find a lot of Tapas Bars in Barcelona, especially in the Gothic area.
One restaurant where you can eat Tapas as well as other dishes is El Somiatruites in the Gothic district. It is a small but nice restaurant which offers Tapas like Serrano ham, Manchega cheese, ham croquetas, tomato bread... from € 2.50.
If you eat "a la carte", you have the choise between classicals like hamburger and chicken curry and original dishes like kanguroo filet with blueberry sauce or duck magret with caramelized apple.
If you go there for dinner, you can take a menu (starter, main dish, dessert) for only € 15. Don't miss the good vine card.
