Sonar is an internationally acclaimed music and multimedia art festival held during three days in June, the 17th, 18th and 19th. The event is h the Sonar by Day activities held in the CCCB and MACBA venues,  and Sonar by Night, at Fira Gran Via M2 L’Hospitalet, together with some simultaneous gigs like the performances at L’Auditori.

An urban event, and a discovery platform. Sonar is a pioneer and influential date on the European cultural calendar thanks to its unique entertainment offer and the singularity of its emplacement.

The lineupfor this year is again very comprehensive, getting together many of the best and emerging artists in the experimental art and music scene.

This year will see the return of SonarKids, the children's version of the festival, and last year was received well by the public.  SonarKids is extended to two days and will be held the weekend before  Sonar (12 and 13 June) at the CCCB and MACBA. SonarKids  Minifestival  creative experience for children and parents with the same objectives as the previous edition: getting parents and children to enjoy music together, workshops, art and technology, with activities, workshops and performances for the whole family ..
