The French architect Henry Grandpierre designed this palace, which was built in the year 1903. It is an edifice in the Neo-Classical style with two “noble floors”, three symmetrical façades and a garden open to the public. Since 1997, the Palau Robert has been an exhibition centre as well as the site of the Tourist Office and the Youth Information Point of. A cycle of public concerts is held in the garden in the summer.

The travelling exhibition “Ernest Lluch, the struggle to build a country”, organised by the Catalan Government and the Ernest Lluch Foundation, arrives in Barcelona after visiting a number of Spanish cities. The exhibition is to show the work,, ideas and social commitments of this economist, historian and politician. The exhibition will be open to the public from 31 March to 14 June 2009 at the Cotxeres of the Palau Robert.
