The Palau de la Música Catalna is one of the most beautiful auditoriums of the world. Its located in the Sant Pere mes Alt st., at the La Ribera district of Barcelona. It was designed by the Barcelona’s architect Lluís Domènech I Montaner, one of the leading representatives of Catalan Modernism.

The construction was carried out between the years 1905 and 1908, with some very advanced and original solutions for the structure with the application of large glass walls and integration of all arts, sculpture, mosaics, stained glass and wrought iron.

The building, headquarters of "Catalan Choral Society, founded in 1891 by Lluís Millet and Amadeo Vives, was donated by industrial and financial Catalans, illustrated and music lovers, statement that sixty years before had already financed the opera and ballet theater Gran Teatro del Liceo.

The acoustics of the auditorium is unbeatable. The best musicians and conductors in the world of the last century have passed uninterrupted by the Palau, authentic shrine of Catalonia and music concert hall while reference in the international art scene. In 1997 UNESCO included the building in the list of Heritage of Humanity. You can visit the inside of the auditorium through guided tours. To make the visits is essential to have an entry that you should buy at least one week in advance (no possibility to make reservations). The visit includes the modern concert hall and, upon availability, the Lluis Millet Chamber and the Chamber Music Hall.
