Barcelona is known for its culture, shopping areas, monuments, and nightlife and many other things. But between all culture and sightseeing, it is quite common that you would like to change it up. That is why it might be fun to something extreme for a day. I have listed some extreme activities in Barcelona.

Jetsky and speed boat experience

If you feel like spending a day in the ocean in the always warm and sunny Barcelona I recommend renting a Jetsky or speed boat for the day. Feel the wind in your hair and the sun on your face while you zip with high speed over the Mediterranean Sea. This activity is both refreshing and extreme. You can also rent a speedboat and enjoy some sunbathing, snorkelling, swimming in the open sea and make a day of it. Sport fanatic, water lover, this experience is perfect for everybody!

Quad bike and water adventures

If you are looking for an exciting day in the nature, I have got the perfect day planned for you full of action from woodland to sea. The day will start by cruising through the Catalonian countryside and plummet down rocky ravines with your quad bike. The power on this machine will amaze you. After cruising through the dirt, you will explore the coastline of Costa Brava. You will spend the rest of the day learning how to sail followed by a barbecue and skim the waves of the Mediterranean shore in a kayak. If you want to spend a day away from the big city, this is the perfect opportunity.

Wakeboarding in Barcelona

Another exciting water sport that can be done in Barcelona is Wakeboarding. Wakeboarding is one of the coolest water activities there is where you ride your wakeboard over the surface of a body of water. You will meet with your instructor in Barceona´s port. After this you will sail south of Barcelona into the open see. Here you will be able to go crazy and enjoy your board, the waves and the open ocean. The boat that is carrying you is a 7 meter long Mastercraft X-star. This powerful boat is the best Wakeboard rider out there. If you have no experience in wakeboarding I recommend you to try an initiation course where you will learn the basics of wakeboarding.If you consider yourself an expert, there is also an advanced course. Whichever course you do, you will have a blast on the water.

Bunjeejumping and skydiving

For those who are looking for a courageous thrill, experience a free fall over Costa Brava. I can´t think of any activity that lets your heart beat faster than this one. After a short instruction you will be led up to a 65m crane. When up there, you will have a couple seconds to gather your thoughts before you have to jump. There is nothing like that feeling seconds before jumping.. your heart pounds, adrealine is pumping through your body and you will experience freedom like you have never felt before. When it is all over, the only thing you think about is to do it again. For the real dear devils, there is also skydiving which is even more extreme than bunjeejumping. You will go on a plane and when the plane is on 12000 feet you will jump out of an airplane and make a free fall. You will for a minute folowed by 3 minutes of floating towards the ground. This is the fantasy of anyone who likes a thrill.

Plane or Helicopter ride

If you like another way of sightseeing or see Barcelona from a different angle, a helicopter ride maybe just what you´re looking for. You will be able to get an amazing view of Barcelona. You will have great photo opportunities of Sagrada Familia, Camp Nou, and Parc Guell. If you also want to see other places than Barcelona I suggest motorless flight. This plane will take you to the Pyranees and the most beautiful valleys of Girona. After the introduction, you will get into the aircraft and will be attached to the rear of a motorised carrier plane which will fly you approximately 700 metres into the air. Once you reach this altitude, the carrier plane will disengage and you will get your first feel of motorless flight.
