In the heart of the city 1- 2: Great choice for your accommodation in Barcelona
שלישי, 28 אפריל 2009 10:11
Good accommodation in Barcelona for short term stay is not always easy to find. The hotels in Barcelona centre are relatively expensive and during many periods of the year they are completely booked. Rentals apartments in Barcelona are always good choice, especially if you are travelling with family or in small groups. Most of the Barcelona rentals apartments are equipped to serve up to 6 persons, although in some cases accommodation for more then 6 persons are also available.
In Apartime.com (Rentals Barcelona and Rentals London) we choose the apartments we offer very carefully and with a lot of care. It doesn’t mean that all of the apartments we offer for short term rent in Barcelona are high standard or expensive apartments. We do offer some luxury apartments in Barcelona but what guide us in choosing the properties we announce is offering the best possible cost-quality relation for our apartments. We try to aim to all kind of clients, from those who are seeking cheap apartments in Barcelona up to the most luxurious apartment rentals. But whether it is cheap apartment or top of the line property, we will always make sure you get the best possible deal.
When it comes to cheap apartments in Barcelona you can find really horrendous apartments that can not be considered decent, not even for the lowest budget. We make sure that the low budget apartment that you book is complying with the minimum requirement as for tourist accommodation property. In the Barcelona luxury apartments we also make sure to choose the best apartments for a reasonable cost because we believe that a happy client is a repeating client. “In the heart of the city 1” and “In the heart of the city 2” are 2 of the best apar
tments we incorporated in Barcelona recently because they have a relatively low price comparing with their quality and their excellent location (located 2 minutes from Las Ramblas!). Both are new in the Barcelona apartments section and really worth a visit. They have exactly the same distribution and characteristics, and the only thing that changes a little is the decoration. Both are new construction apartments (from early 2009) with brand new furniture and equipment. They have 2 bedrooms each, one very large with double bed (can be separated in to 2 big single bed) and another smaller double bedroom. Both have a fully equipped kitchen, nice living room with a double sofa-bed. In order to increase the privacy in this apartment, in case of using the living room as an additional bedroom, there is a sliding door that separates it completely from the rest of the apartment. Both apartments are located in the same building, brand new building with elevator and all the necessary services. The apartment’s equipment is very complete and includes: central heat and AC, free wireless ADSL Internet connection, plasma TV with local digital cable TV, Stereo sound system, DVD, complete kitchen with oven, microwave, coffee machine, juicer, iron, etc. The location of these 2 apartments in Barcelona is really exceptional. It is in the heart of the old city of Barcelona, less then 3 minutes walk to Las Ramblas and Just around the corner from the famous “Palacio Guell”, one of Gaudi’s most remarkable works. Walking up the Ramlas some 5 minutes and you are in the Liceu theatre and walking 3 minutes further up the Ramblas you are in Plaza Catalonia, which is considered to be the central point of reference of Barcelona.
If you tern left 1 minute before Plaza Catalonia and walk some 5 minutes more in side the Raval you will get to the MACBA (museum of Modern Art) and to the CCCB, both must be visited! Continuing 1 minute more toward the inside of the neighbourhood you will get into the Ramla del Raval, one of Barcelona’s most fascinating avenues. If you choose to continue walking up the Ramlas you can cross Plaza Catalunya and find your self in one of Europe’s most remarkable streets: The famous Paseo the Gracia. Walking up Paseo de Gracia you will pass through Casa Batlló and Casa Amatller, perhaps the most bueatifull buildings of Barcelona. Here you will find all the exclusive shops and brands in Barcelona (see more in the Barcelona Shopping post). So these 2 apartments are really great choice for accommodation in Barcelona and are highly recommended by our company.

Sant Jordi 2009: What a day!
חמישי, 23 אפריל 2009 15:30
I just came back from visiting the old city alter a long morning in the office, wondering what kind of Sant Jordi is waiting for us today. Well, the first think to mention is the great weather…well not really great weather but rather amazingly great weather! Not a cloud in the sky, 20ºC, nice fresh wind to spread a little the heat, what else can you ask for a Sant Jordi day?

The Magic Fountain
שלישי, 21 אפריל 2009 15:29
The Magic Fountain is located near Plaza Espanya, and was one of the last features built for the International Exposition of 1929, owing to the change of direction taken by the organization of this event with the arrival of the dictatorship of Primo de Rivera. In 1928 it was decided to use lights to turn the central avenue into an “a fiery ember”, a project commissioned to Carles Buïgas, engineer and chief of the electromechanical installations section of the Exposition.
How to choose your holiday apartment in Barcelona
חמישי, 16 אפריל 2009 14:12
Here are 10 tips about how to choose your holiday accommodation in Barcelona, assuming that apartment accommodation is what will best suit your needs.
Many times friends are asking me to help them to choose their flat. The offer of short term rentals apartments in our web page is big and in some cases clients tend to get confused. On one hand the Raval neighbourhood sounds really cool and very interesting place to stay in but on the other hand it is quite busy and not so clean and neat as the Gothic quarter or the Borne. Or perhaps it will be better to rent an apartment in the Eixample where there is much less tourist movement and the area is more residential.
