Catalunta en Miniatura was founded in 1983 by the family Ercilla. The aim of the park was creating a map representative of the highlights of Catalonia. It is a unique and fascinating place to visit especially with children but also for adults of all age groups. It is the biggest touristic and cultural complex in miniature in the world and it displays all the famous monuments, building and places Catalunya has to offer.

All pieces are carefully designed and build in a scale of 1:25 of its original and it takes time, precision and lots of patience to complete a new work. The first phase is the planning of the model, followed by constructing the walls of the building and putting decorations such as handrails, balustrades etc. Next the piece is painted from the inside and the outside to guarantee the best possible protection and it is then placed on a platform on top of a brick foundation that has especially been constructed for the new building. Finally, the surroundings are decorated by gardening and little details such as cars, people, etc to recreate a unique and original atmosphere.

Besides the miniature things, they also provide other services for a great day.  There is a picnic area, bar, restaurant, play ground and a souvenir shop.

During 2012, the park has made a major effort to make this day trip in the countryside in a tourist resort where you can enjoy a new experience. Some things to note about this new phase of the company are interactive points with detailed explanation on different cultural aspects, the renovation of existing services and creating new additional services.

Opening hours:
- January, February, October, November and December: Open Tuesday to Sunday from 10 to 18h.
- March, April, May, June and September: Open daily from 10 to 19h.
- July and August: Open daily from 10 to 20h.
- December 25/1 and 6 January: Closed.

- Children between 4 and 12 years: 8,00 euros
