In Barcelona, the Picasso Museum is the most famous art gallery of the city. The Museum receives over 1,000,000 visitors a year, housing one of Picasso’s largest and more completes collections in the world.

This museum presents the artist’s works in a chronologically order, from the early works of Picasso to the last ones. Through the museum’s tour you can see how his different techniques evolved and you will for sure give an account of why he became so famous.

Since its opening, the Picasso Museum is located in Montcada street, a neighborhood of Gothic architecture located in the West part of the Old City, where the streets are lined by a series of palaces that have been transformed over time due to the reconstruction and restorations.

In its early days the Picasso Museum was smaller, and with the time, has expanded to become what it is today, a large space with a big and very representative collection of the artist. In these facilities you will also find conducted visits as well as educational workshops for youth and children, which aim to spread the art and work of Picasso, bringing them closer to painting in a friendly and interactive way.

The museum halls are spacious and well lit, with disabled access, and a completely white room where you can see nothing but Picasso’s works.  
The enter fee to the museum is 9 Euros, but it can be little bite higher if there are any special exhibitions.
