El Parc de Collserola
This magnificent park, El Parc de Collserola, heads over the Barcelona Metropolitan Area with a spectacular view over Barcelona. It's a much loved and immensely valuable natural area for the population that lives next to this unique area. Collserola is a pre reserved 8000 hectare area and considered as one of the biggest metropolitans of Europe, which is not changed or modified by humans. Whereas there is a lot of forest, it also includes a variety of other plants which makes it a huge diversity of flora. Collserola is also a place for discovery, learning, meeting and leisure. All this means that the final goal of the Park Consortium’s management policy is to promote environmentally-friendly and sustainable use of the reserve whilst also conserving the natural heritage it contains. More into detail, this park is more different than other because of the fact that wildlife is part of this rare nature reserve. It does not contains bushes shaped into typical styles. In 1987, when Collserola was considered as a Natural Parc, they are managed under a special protection plan for environmental friendly objectives.
