For many years Barcelona is known for being one of Europe's most cultural cities. It is not to surprising to know that every year milllions of people come here to experience the great culture and art that Barcelona has to offer.
Besides a lot of monuments and the known sights that are a must see for any tourist, a lot of peopel also want to visit some museums during their stay.Luckily for them Barcelona is one of the cities that has many museums and also different kinds of museums.So there is propably for everyone a museum worth visiting.There are over 55 museums in Barcelona, we have listed a groups of museums that are popular special and definitely worth visiting.
Dali Museum

This wonderful and world famous museum is not directly located in Barcelona but only a short train ride of 1.5 h away in the city of Figueres –Dali’s hometown. It is also one of the most popular and prestigious museums in the North of Spain and already the building itself in which it is located in, is a masterpiece of art as it is the former Municipal Theatre and the largest surrealist object in the world.

When visiting Barcelona there are a lot to see. The city has a lot of incredible museums that you can visit such as the Picasso museum, Museu Maritim, Cosmo Caixa to mention a few. Yet another museum that is perfect for the perfume lover is the perfume museum.

It is difficult to count how many museums you can find in Barcelona, there are a few. They all have their speciality and you can choose the one that corresponds to your interest and taste. Being with your kids the Cosmo Caixa, Chocolate museum or the vax museum is good choices. If you are interested in art the Picasso museum or Fundacio Joan Miro can be of interest. As said, there is a lot to choose from.
The Ceramic Museum

Housed in the Palace of Pedralbes since 1990, the Ceramics Museum of Barcelona was founded in the year 1966. Exceptional works of Spanish ceramic art are part of the permanent collection. These pieces are quit unique and have a high artistic value. All the ceramic pieces came from preservation of archeological remains and private collections. The pieces that are of a special interest are the ones from the Almohade period, Catalonia and Valencia, the objects in the Mudéjar style from Aragon, the Morisco crockery from Paterna and Manises, the polychrome tile work and tableware form Spain’s Golden Age, some example from the Rococco period of Alcora and a few creations from contemporary artists.
