Public Transport
Barcelona boasts a fantastic public transport system, with clean, efficient bus, tram and metro systems. All the major attractions are well connected, and the fares are very cost effective. The fare system is integrated, meaning you can use your tickets on any of the transport methods.
Prices
Your best bet is to get a T-10 card, valid for use on the buses, metro, tram, and train from the airport. It currently costs 7.20€, and you get 10 journeys. A journey counts as under 1 hour15 minutes, so you can get off the metro and on the bus and it will only count as 1 journey. The card can be used for more than one person, but you must pass the ticket through the machine once for each person. The metros have turnstiles, and the buses and trams have a machine inside the vehicle.
You can get your ticket from the automated machines at every station, which accept credit cards, notes and coins.
