Places to visit in Barcelona

rent flats barcelonaThis tour is not actually anything to do with ERASMUS but instead is centred around the film 'L'Auberge Espagnole'. It was filmed in Barcelona and Paris on 2001 and explores the story of a graduate from France who travels to Barcelona to study further under the ERASMUS scheme and shares Barcelona apartments with seven other European students from all over the continent. In this multi lingual house we follow his somewhat hectic life as cultural differences and language barriers are exposed by the relentless diversity among him and his friends.

It is directed by Cédric Klapisch who admitted that Barcelona was the ideal place to shoot the film, not only because of the stunning scenery and photogenic nature of the place but also because of the myth that surrounds the place among teenagers and students. It is a vibrant and beautiful city top on the list of most students' places to visit let alone study. The flim was shot in many of the famous places in the city and by following the tour you can get involved in the life of an ERASMUS student whilst seeing all the sites.
