Barcelona is known as one of the most famous gay places in the world. The Catalan capital is very gay-friendly and there are many annual events happening, plus the local Spanish community have for a long time been very accepting of gay families and Spain is on the list of countries where they allow gay marriage.

The main gay area in Barcelona is Eixample where most of the gay clubs, bars, hotels and restaurants are located. Also there are many vacation apartments in Barcelona which are perfectly suited for gay couples and have a great location in the beautiful and modern part of the city.

In Barcelona you can easily find a place to go out, with many of the bars and clubs that will suit you, so you just have to choose which one attracts you the most. However, remember that most of the bars and clubs in Eixample district are mostly gay, that is the reason why the nickname for the area is “gayxample”. But take care that you a hitting all of the possible places and do not miss anything important and unique.

There are different traditional festivals happening every year. One of the top festivals is called CIRCUIT and it is officially hottest and main gay event in Europe. More than 30000 people from 30 countries are spending time in water parks, clubs and the beach while taking part in different activities and enjoying wild partying. Also, during the 9 days that the festival runs, expect to be entertained by famous DJ’s and VIP celebrity guests.

Another unique festival in Barcelona, which runs for 5 days, is called Bearcelona and is a combination of different themed parties in different clubs and saunas. Events are located in the Gracia district where you can easily rent a gay-friendly apartment in Barcelona.

Moreover, there is one more festival going on in the beginning of summer and taking place in Barcelona with non-stop parties in the heart of the city. Clubbers from all over the world are coming to this annual event.
