Museu de la Música
Museu de la Música, or in English the Museum of Music, opened its doors to the public in 2007. They have a brand-new display of its instruments collections and musical documents. This new permanent exhibition has nearly 500 instruments from various periods and cultures. It is considered one of the most important in Spain.
Visitors are invited to discover the world of music throughout history, with the help of audiovisual materials, images and music. There are four different paths, Orpheus, the Permanence of Sound and the Interactive Gallery.
Orpheus introduces the elements of music and its evolution over time and space. The Permanence of Sound explains societies need to capture music, from writing music to recording music. In The Interactive Gallery, visitors can handle objects and instruments to understand why they make a sound.
