Everyone know this "itchy feet" feeling when you really want to spend your vacation abroad, but you can not afford it. Many of "normal people" would love to go for example to Spain, but they easily cannot pay for week bill in a hotel, as they have to spent almost all of their savings for a family trip. But it does not have to be the case.
First of all think about the location of your vacation. Does it have to be an overpriced seaside resort? Certainly not. In a big city there are much more accommodation options to choose from - hotel,hostal , hostel and finally apartments. On the other hand somebody could say, that vacation with children in a crowded, uninteresting (for them) city cannot compete with beaches on the seaside. That is why Barcelona is the perfect location for you!

It has numerous attractions perfect not only for adults (Zoo, Parks, Museums for the kids...) and loads of beaches - in and outside the city. In the city itself there are at least three beaches (the most famous is Barceloneta, Icaria, Marbella) and in the half-hour distance (by train) there are small, but well known touristic resorts - Sidges, Blanes, Calella etc.
Than thing about the accommodation in Barcelona. Do you really need to book a hotel? Is it really the best option from all possible? The answer is once again: NO!
