Illa Fantasia is one of Europe's largest water parks. It is located in the north of Barcelona hear a town called Mataró. It is a great day trip if you're not a huge fan of the beach. The Illa Fantasia water park has over 20 different water slides and 3 large swimming pools - plenty of water to cool off even the sunniest day in Barcelona. The attraction you have to think of; Slides, rides, rubber rings, tunnels and much more.

The International Music Competition Maria Canals of Barcelona was founded in 1954 by the pianist Maria Canals and her husband, the writer Rossend Llates. This competition has achieved international prestige since it was accepted by the World Federation of International Music Competitions in 1958. Her Majesty the Queen Sofia of Spain is Honorary President. It is held at the Palau de la Música in Barcelona and is endorsed by the World Federation of Music Competitions for piano, violin, singing, cello, chamber music, guitar, percussion and flute. Since 1954, the Competition has held over 110 branches, with over 7000 participants from 100 countries and 180 jury members from all over the world. More than 100 families from Barcelona graciously lend their pianos to contestants during the competition.
Zoo von Barcelona

Nicht nur die zahlreichen Museen der Stadt machen jene so sehenswert sondern auch der Zoo von Barcelona ist eine Touristenattraktion und ein Besuch lohnt sich immer. Viele europäische und internationale Programme arbeiten mit dem Zoo in Barcelona zusammen und helfen, vom Aussterben bedrohte Tierarten zu schützen, zu pflegen und zu erhalten.
Im Zoo von Barcelona finden wir viele seltene Arten, wie beispielsweie das Gila Monster, Mönchsgeier, der Ameisenbär, das Zwergflusspferd, die Giraffe von Rothschild, die Dama Gazelle Mohor und heimische Arten wie der Weißstorch, Nachtreiher, der Gamo und der Espulgabueyes.
