Considered as one of the oldest fairs in Catalonia, Feira of Sant Ponc takes places annually on 11 of May. The aim is to pay honor to Sant Ponc, patron saint of beekeeper and herbalists. All around the city, especially in four districts Ciutat Vella, Sants-Montjuïc, Sarriá-San Gervasi and Nou Barris there will have many stalls selling herb, natural remedies, fresh fruit, cheese, handmade jam, honey…Also during that day Catalan people will clean their apartments and put under bed some herb buying from the fair as a way to get rid of evils and bad things.
