Club Mix
Club Mix is a relatively new bar in Born, characterised by its clubby - loungy feel. It is vibrant and busy and yet instills an air of calm as you sit back and relax with a drink. It is modern and stylish and full of people of all nationalities and has filled a hole in the Barcelona nightlife. It was designed by the same person who is responsible for Club 13 in Plaza Real, and the interior is one of the high lights of the place. They serve a mixture of drinks, beers, cocktails, wines, champagne and cava and they have a tapas menu if you are hungry. The prices are a bit above average as all the drinks are in keeping with the interior, for instance an Estrella costs 4,50€ but it is in a fashionable bottle. They play different types of music on different days and are open from 8pm to 3am.

Another interesting place where you can bring the kids and pass practically the whole day with them is the Maremagnum shopping centre. Situated at the bottom of Las Ramblas this centre is where you will find the IMAX 3D movie theater, the famous Aquarium of Barcelona, the old port of Barcelona, with plenty of short cruises around the port and further, an official FC Barcelona shop as well as many bars, ice cream stands and restaurants. The Maremagnum also organizing events for the family, so it is worth a while consulting their web (they have English translation!) at http://www.maremagnum.es/index.php?idioma=eng.
