Sunday, 15 August 2010 06:00
When visiting Barcelona there are a lot to see. The city has a lot of incredible museums that you can visit such as the Picasso museum, Museu Maritim, Cosmo Caixa to mention a few. Yet another museum that is perfect for the perfume lover is the perfume museum.
The Perfume museum was opened in 1961 with the goal to show perfume vessels and containers
from different ages of time. In the museum you can find perfume jars from the Egyptian, Greek, Etruscan, Roman and Arab times and its development to today.
The museum itself is divided into 2 parts, the first part shows the perfume glasses, vessels,
jars etc. from old cultures until today. The second part shows the industralized perfumery
from the XVIII century to present times.
