The origin of golf is not clearly known and there are many different theories how this sport has spread around the world. Some historians believe that it is originated from the Roman game “paganica”, where players would use a bent stick to hit a stuffed leather ball. Another theory state that it was developed from a Chinese game and spread around Europe during the Middle Ages. Today golf has spread around the whole world and is played by many. It is further said that about 60% of business deals are made on the golf course.
