The Port Olímpic is an emblematic area of Barcelona with 740 docks and 85 shops. In the heart of the maritime area, it was built in 1992 for the Olympic Games, and is part of the Olympic Village. Port Olímpic is a stylish Marina area, surrounded by beaches, buildings and gardens. You can get to Barcelona Olympic Port through metro, with the yellow line, L4, stop Ciutadella Vila Olimpica. Then you must walk 10 minute to the Barcelona Olympic Port and the beach area.
The port is between beaches, which are very popular by day and by night. These beaches are fringed by a stretch of stone walkway perfect for jogging, rollerblading and cycling. The raised deck cuts down on traffic noise making you feel you're miles away from the busy city. There are no beach bars, but three large informal restaurants.
At night, Port Olímpic transforms itself into a party district. The most popular clubs situated here are Opium, Catwalk, and Shoko, which is restaurant and nightclub. You can also find a lot of mini-clubs with free admission around the beach.
