A Rooftop in the old city apartment

USERRATING 8/10 2012-05-20 by client The location was very central. It not in the most secure part of the city. The terrace was fabulous and made our stay really enjoyable. Would have been nice to have some basic extras for cooking such as oil and condiments and a larger coffee pot. The bed is low so not the best for people with restricted flexibility. Barcelona events and fiestas

The Procession of the Three Kings (Cabalgata los Reyes Magos) it is a typicall spanish tradition, but in Barcelona it is something very special. On the 5th January in the afternoon the Caspar, Melchior and Baltasar come to Barcelona with the Santa Eulalia Boat to the Beach. Than they are "wandering" trough the city (the parade route is about 5 km long) distributing 15 tones of sweets (!) and other gifts for children. Cavalcade is an event for the whole family. The total of 875 people are taking part in the parade, dressed up withfabulous costumes. The costumes and heroes of the parade are wonderfully colourful and somehow magical, to understand what does it mean you have to see it! During the parade the children's letters to the three kings will be collected (in Spain they are much more important than Santa Claus, because traditionally kids get presents not on the 6th December, but on the 5th of January).
