Gay and Lesbian Film Festival Barcelona
Tuesday, 20 October 2009 14:52
This weekend the annual Gay and Lesbian Film Festival of Barcelona brings you more than 40 different films which deal with homosexuality. Most of the films are free and if there is an entrance fee, the most you will have to pay will be 5 euros. All made in the last couple of years, these films will be shown in a number of venues both in the centre and in the neighbouring cities of Barcelona. Tarragona, Girona, Lleida, Terrassa and Castelldefels.
The festival, otherwise know as FICGLB, offers a wide variety of controversial films, which deal with the many issues associated with and experienced by homosexuals. The festival director Xavier-Daniel screens full and short-length films along with documentaries from countries all around the globe, especially from those where homosexuality is repressed and frowned upon.
