At the top of the Eixample, just when the ending begins Paseo de Gracia district of the so-called "Gracia" - a lesser known tourist area but the locals have found it to be one of the most popular districts of Barcelona.
Small streets with little car traffic, lots of sunny squares, surrounded by cafes with terraces, small antique shops in the neighborhood with modern premises, the typical Spanish bar-restaurant  - this is Gracia, a mixture of old and new coexisting in harmony, peace and tranquility.

As a residential neighborhood,it  is one of the most popular in Barcelona, as there is little noise from the streetdue to  low traffic, and the intense cultural activity throughout the year. At the heart of this quiet district is the famous Calle Verdi, a pedestrian street that houses 2 of the most recognized movie theatres in Barcelona ( "Cinema Verdi and Verdi Park"), where you can probably find the best quality films in Catalonia in original version with subtitles.

At weekend nights, the neighborhood changes its face and becomes an area of great nightlife with hundreds of bars, restaurants, clubs which operate until late at night. Is a neighborhood where many prefer to go to Barcelona to escape  from the premises affected by the tourist tide that fills many of the traditional establishments for which Barcelona is famous.

Although not regarded as the center of Barcelona, is almost 10 minutes walk from the heart of the Eixample and 2-3 metro stations from the old city.
