London guide - London attractions
The Docklamds is a term which encorporates part of south east London, the boroughs of Newham, Tower Hamlets, Greenwhich and Southwark. It used to be very badly connected by transport, this issue was addressed and the Docklands Light Railway (DLR) was built. This has since been extended and the Isle of Dogs has gained a tube station on the Jubilee line so as a result the Docklands has become a much more desirable place to live and work. The DLR is a huge part in a lot of business people's commute to work, and London city ariport being now also well connected has enormously helped those going on business trips.
It goes from Bank through Canary Wharf and on down to Greenwhich and Lewisham. It stretches up to Stratford and then eastwards to Beckford vis London City Airport.
The DLR is part of oyster card system, and uses a normal tube ticket as well.
