Berlin Guide - Night Life

Berlin, exactly as New York is a city that never sleeps. There is no closing times restrictions, so most of the clubs, discos, bars are opened whole the night. There are three main clubs districts in Berlin: Prenzlauerberg-Mitte, Kreuzberg and Friedrichshein, where you can party the whole night long.
As Berlin is considered as a very tolerant and alternative city you can find here everything you can thing about - even beach Bars (on the river side), or sophisticated sex clubs, as well as rock, alternative and funky clubs. The capital of Germany is also the world´s capital for electronic music.
Nightlife in Berlin can be tricky. A lot of bars do not advertise themselves, as they are perfectly known by the "insiders" and those who are living in Berlin, they do not have any advertising. What is more some of the places are very hard to find, because they are situated in the middle of "nowhere", in some ruins, or basically places you will never expect to be a club. But there are some standard places who everyone have to know.

Prenzlauerberg-Mitte

Everyone should visit King-Kong Club. Everything there: atmosphere, decorations and music is hodge-podge. In this place you can feel the real soul of this crazy city. Nearby also a high point on the list - Kaffee Burger other kitch place. Besides of electronic music parties there are poetry readings, Russian parties (every 2 months) and lots of drunken students. Sounds curious? So is Berlin. And one more place: Weekend. On the 13th floor of block-flat on Alexanderplatz there is a techno-club and the most popular place to see the sunrise.

Friedrichshein

It is hard to choose a "must-see" list,l because there are loads of cool places, so I will concentrate on the most popular ones. As I mentioned above Berlin is a techno-electronic capital. To get the real climate and understand what it means you should visit Berghein and Tresor . Watergate famous for regularly inviting world´s famous DJ´s specialize in house, drum and bass and it´s glass walls with the view on Spree are giving a stunning effect. For those who prefer more hip-retro style I strongly recommend Maria am Ostbahnhof.

Kreuzberg

And here we are. There are loads of bars pubs and clubs and in Kreuzberg you find probably the most alternative ones. The best place to start the Kreuzberg Trip is to go to Oranienstrasse where (apart from many others) the legendary SO36 is located. It has an ´electronic touch´ with lots of concerts, but also cultural, political and alternative events. If you do not like this kind of events look for something for yourself in Oranienstrasse or Wienerstrasse.
