The Old National Gallery (Alte Nationalgalerie) is a museum for art of the 19th century situated on the Museuminsel in Berlin.

The Old National Gallery exhibits works out of the 19th century from the collection of the National Gallery. Artifacts belonging to this are from the classicism and the romance (Caspar David Friedrich, Karl Friedrich Schinkel, Karl Blechen), the Biedermeier period, the French impressionism, (Édouard Manet, Claude Monet, Pierre-Auguste Renoir) and the early moderns (Adolph Menzel, Max Liebermann, Lovis Corinth, Paul Cézanne).

The most important works belonging to the museum are among others Friedrichs ‘Der Mönch am Meer’, Menzels ‘Eisenwazwerk’ and the so called ‘Prinzessinnengrupper’, two sculptures of the princesses Luise and Friederike von Preußen of the sculptor Johann Gottfried Schadow. These two sculptures are also to be found in the dependence of the museum.

In 1987 the Friedrichswerdersche Kirche was being employed as dependence of the National Gallery. Next to the ‘Prinzessinnengruppe’ there are works exhibited from the classist sculptors of the Berlin School (Johann Gottfried Schadow, Christian Daniel Rauch, Emil Wolff, Friedrich Tieck).

Also sculptures of Immanuel Kant, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe and the brothers Alexander von Humboldt and Wilhelm von Humboldt are to be seen in the former church.
