Carnival of Cultures is a show of cultures and music from around the world, meetings with artists, environmentalists, human rights defenders. The event was created to promote and strengthen tolerance and openness. German capital files with colorful processions and is stunned by music from around the world - from the German hip-hop trough Turkish pop to Caribbean rhythms. 4 days crowds of spectators watched the parades and great platforms on which occur more than 900 artists formed in groups from more than 70 countries. Usually one day is reserved for the Children's Carnival.

The Long Night of Museums (Lange Nacht der Museen) has long been an established event in Berlin. Twice a year more than 100 museums in Berlin open their doors at 18.00 and till 2.00 o'clock at night allow the visitors to see exhibitions, collections and installations. This event is accompanied by several readings, concerts and theater plays. The 26th Long Night of Museums will be held on Saturday, 29 January 2011 from 2.00 until 18.00 clock.

International Film Festival in Berlin (Berlin International Filmfestspiele) - also called the Berlinale, is one of the most prestigious international film festivals in Europe and worldwide. It is held annually in February during two weeks and it is a very important cultural event for the Berliners.
The first festival was organised in 1951. Jury of the festival has always placed a special emphasis on the diversification of films. As the effect of that Berlinale shows every year masterpieces from all around the world.
Currently, international audience comes to Berlin every year to take part in this world famous festival. Moreover there are more than 150 thousand participants from 120 different countries each year and about 16 thousands of creative professionals, including almost 4 thousands journalists. During the festival more than 800 projections are being held.
