holiday apartments berlinThe menu in Alt Luxemburg combines the classic flavours of Germany and France with influence from Asia. The decor is stylish and elegant and has a very amorous feel about it making it great for a date. The food is exquisite, lots of fish; the menu includes thing like horseradish terrine with smoked eel or monkfish with a succulent saffron and tomato sauce for fish lovers and things like parma ham coated rabbit fillet with plum sauce and lambs lettuce for those who fancy something else. The only down fall could be the price. The wine list distinctly lacks many middle-of-the-road bottle, when you go there, you go the whole hog. However if you fancy eating at the slightly earlier time between 5pm and 7pm they offer 10% off food.

FreidrichstraßeStylish cafes, trendy boutiques, gourmet shops , elegant Friedrichstadtpassagen (Quatier 206) - seeing the shop-windows is pleasure itself. Fridrichstrasse refers to legendary 20' with its restored buildings, elegant offices and restaurants. It's like a small part of 5th Avenue in the middle of Berlin. A breeze from France can be found in the extravagant architecture of the Galleries Lafayette. Once famous border crossing Check-Point Charlie divided Friedrichstrasse into east and west. Today the street is bustling with people and luxury.

Berlin CathedralBerlin Cathedral (Berliner Dom) is an Evangelical Cathedral located in Mitte district of Berlin. It was built in the years 1894-1905 to plans by architect Julius Carl Raschdorff in the style of late, Italian Renaissance. In the same place where today stands the cathedral, earlier was standing a smaller cathedral in the baroque style. In 1944, the cathedral was damaged by Allied bombing raids, but the rebuilding started first in 1975. The temple has 1500 seats and is one of the largest in Berlin. Exactly in this cathedral are held ecumenical worships on the occasion of important moments for the nation. The Berlin Cathedral was inspiration for many architects f.ex. Evangelical-Augsburg Church of St. Trinity in Lodz in Poland.
